Thorpe Park
GMI Property Company brought forward the development of this award winning Business Park. Comprising 250 acres and capacity for 1.8million sq ft of office development, Thorpe Park is amongst the largest campus office developments in the United Kingdom. GMI developed in excess of 600,000 sq ft of office accommodation at Thorpe Park before disposing of it to partners, Valad Property Group. Occupiers include the likes of IBM, Regus, WS Atkins, National Grid, Republic, Northern Foods and GE Capital.

GMI Property were instrumental in the complex land assembly of this site, securing the planning consent (on what was previously Green Belt land), implementation of major infrastructure works (including the construction of a new Motorway Junction) and the design, construction and letting/sale of individual buildings.
  The development of this site involved confronting and working with an intricate range of challenges including the existence of significant archaeological features, extensive ecology and complex ground conditions and topography. GMI Property also pioneered a unique Pathways Partnership with Education Leeds to engage the surrounding secondary schools in a mentoring, sponsorship and work experience programme directly related to the occupiers at Thorpe Park.
